MDAA Photo Archives is a specialist library of photographs derived from the commercial work of Max Dupain and Associates. Photographs of Sydney since 1945, the Sydney Opera House under construction, the architecture of Harry Seidler and Glenn Murcutt’s early houses are special features of the collection.


At the Energy Australia National Trust Heritage Awards 2008
held recently,
Homes in the Sky: Apartment Living in Australia
, featuring photographs by Max Dupain and Eric Sierins was awarded the FIRST PRIZE in the category Interpretation and Presentation - Corporate & Government.

CONGRATULATIONS to Co-publishers Miegunyah, Melbourne University Press and Historic Houses Trust and Caroline Butler-Bowdon who accepted the award.

 
WINNER again! This time Homes in the Sky is awarded the 2008 Bates Smart Award for Architecture in the Media which is a national recognition of the awareness and discussion that is generated by effective media concerning architecture.

THE BUILDING AS MUSE - Max Dupain's photographs of Harry Seidler's architecture over 45 years has opened in the Australian Embassy in Paris, 24 January 2008 and will tour, Sydney and Melbourne later this year.
